Sir,
21.
2527/1945. 1/25/27
Referring to your letter of August 4th. I have made
several enquiries amongst's Pharmacists who were, in my opinion,
suitable for the post at dong Kong referred to in your communica-
tion.
I have, however, been unable to find a suitable person
until now. I have interviewed, and beg to recommend Mr. T.
Edward Tawell, a Pharmacist, and Member of this Society who is at
present engaged at the University College dospital and who from
our knowledge of him here would make a very excellent officer.
The only drawback that I mow of is that his age is now just over
50 and, therefore, does not conform to the particulars you have
forwarded for my information, If this drawback should not be
an insuperable barrier to Mr. Tawell I could recommend him with
the utmost confidence and feel sure that he would be in every
way suitable.
I am,
Yours faithfully,
The Under Secretary of State,
Colonial office.

The address of Mr. Tawell le
